For Elementary Kids

Many elementary kids develop a fear of speaking either in public or otherwise, by the time they are in 5th or 6th grade.  At that point, it's often more difficult to break them of what has become a habit and possibly an acceptance that shyness is just part of their personality. 

If you've read my testimony, you know that in most cases, shyness is just a simple lack of social communication skills.  Even knowing that, while a bit liberating, will not easily allow a shy child to easily conquer his fear.  However, there is hope if it is done with a creative and fun program.  Art of Eloquence provides creative and fun ways to introduce or continue your elementary student's understanding of speech and communication skills! 

What issues can ineffective communication play with elementary kids?

Say What You Mean for Kids This Christian-based, 18 week (one semester) course geared for grades 2-6 covers general communication skills as well as beginning speech. The hands-on activities and funny stories help young children more effectively remember the skills and lessons taught. The speech is handled in increments after week 8 to make it more comfortable for shy children or first time speakers.

Know Your Audience Christian-based, 18 week (one semester) course is a companion to Say What You Mean for Kids or Say What You Mean for Teens that makes a full year of effective communication skills (grades 2-12) It teaches listening and persuasion as well as a bit about entreprenurial success! It is one of our most popular studies because it is just so much fun! Students create a product/service (the more outrageous the better!) and then learn to present their invention to different audiences using different methods of communication. (kindergarten class, radio address, interview, board meeting with Mr IM Boss!)
